ENR Midwest Names Baker Concrete Specialty Contractor of the Year

ENR Midwest magazine awarded JMJ client Baker Concrete Construction Company with the 2012 Specialty Contractor of the Year award. The company’s Incident and Injury-Free™ (IIF™) safety culture was cited as a primary factor in this recognition. As a result of their IIF program, Baker’s lost time rate dropped to zero in 2011 from 0.97 in 2007. The 2012 rate so far is also zero, with more than 4 million man-hours logged by late August, and recordable injury rates declined to 2.31 through August from 7.95 in 2007.

Chloe Handley has progressed to Global Senior Marketing and Communications Specialist since joining JMJ in 2011.
