Daewoo E&C Achieves Project Success by Creating a Strong Safety Culture on a Major Infrastructure Project

Daewoo Engineering and Construction a Korean construction company, headquartered in Seoul, South Korea celebrated their first 12 months of being without a Lost Time Incident (LTI) on a major infrastructure project called Daegok Sosa Railway (DSR) Project. Daewoo E&C shares their story of their commitment to building the safest and happiest project in Korea and how their safety culture has influenced the projects performance as well as quality and cost. Daewoo E&C have called their Safety culture CLEAR.
Daewoo E&C has implemented the CLEAR safety culture on 12 different projects, including the DSR project since 2015, and all projects have raised the safety benchmark and project performance without an LTI, an incredible result.
Daewoo E&C’s safety journey is ongoing, and their ambition is to implement the CLEAR safety culture on all domestic and overseas projects by 2020 to make Daewoo E&C the safest and most desirable place to work.
