AUSTIN, TEXAS March 31 2017 - JMJ Associates, one of the world’s leading global management consulting companies, announces the appointment of Sue Steele as AUSTIN, TEXAS, March 31 2017—JMJ is proud to support the fourth annual Construction Industry ‘Safety Week’ 2017, to be held from May 1 to May 5 2017.
The Safety Week effort, initiated by CEOs and leaders from fifty national and global construction firms representing the Construction Industry Safety Initiative (CISI) group and the Incident and Injury-Free™ (IIF™) CEO Forum, is aimed to inspire everyone in the construction industry to be leaders in safety. Over the course of the week, thousands of people around the world will engage in activities related to safety in the workplace. JMJ is proud and honored to support them for the fourth year and to be part of this journey to lead the industry toward a way of working in which no one is injured.
Following the great success of last year’s Safety Week in 2016, this year’s effort is intended to encourage large and small contractors across the world to join in elevating and celebrating safety with the goal of eliminating worker injury in an industry where incidents continue to occur. While strides are being made to improve safety in the world of construction, the industry still experienced approximately 937 fatal work injuries in 2015, according to the most recent Bureau of Labor Statistics data.
“At JMJ, our deepest commitment is to the safety, health and well-being of every single person on every single worksite around the world,” says Camille Ford, Senior JMJ Consultant. “This Safety Week initiative is an inspiring action on the part of U.S. Construction Industry leaders to ensure this commitment to safety becomes a reality inside the industry. We are proud to stand in partnership with this effort, furthering the message that a Construction Industry where no one is hurt is not only a possibility, but a necessity.”
To support the Safety Week initiative, a Safety Week website (www.constructionsafetyweek.com) is available to assist with the sharing of information and ideas promoting safety throughout the construction industry. The website has step-by-step planning tips for organizations to host their own safety week events, as well as best practices on how to strengthen their safety culture.
