JMJ Associates, a global consulting firm, grew from humble beginnings-—originally setting up shop on a houseboat in San Francisco Bay primarily to assist small businesses with leadership. More than 20 years later, the firm consults some of the world’s largest companies with safety programs. JMJ’s safety program was designed to help companies reduce cost and schedule savings on large international projects. A notable accomplishment involved the 2000 Sydney, Australia Olympics in which JMJ built a team that cut in half the estimated five-year completion date for a large waterwaste tunnel project; the project was completed in time for the start of the Olympics. Among the firm’s clients are Pfizer, Dow Chemical and Skanska.
