What jobs will be threatened by artificial intelligence? While some believed low-wage workers would be the most vulnerable, a new Brookings Institution study has suggested the opposite is true.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) will most certainly challenge the status quo of how we perform our work. The Brookings Institution undertook the mighty challenge of identifying which sectors will be the most affected by the rise of AI and which jobs might be on the line for their human counterparts.
The methodology used to determine which jobs would be significantly impacted by AI measured the overlap between the text of filed AI patents. By doing so, the Brookings Institute discerned the type of position likely to be changed by matching abilities from Artificial Intelligence.

The Brookings Institution's findings still show that there is much to learn about AI and that the study's conclusions are only preliminary.
Based on these conclusions the report says that “we have a lot to learn about AI, and that these are extremely early days in our inquiries. Society should be prepared for a rise of automation but it is still unclear on the ultimate effects Artificial Intelligence will have on the working populations.
