The “Multicultural Effects on Projects” panel will discuss how to kick off a multi-cultural project successfully, elements of successful multi-cultural leadership teams and issues and challenges in leading multi-cultural projects. The panel will also explore leadership differences in cultural norms and communications, how to better address the risks these differences pose to safety, schedule and quality, how to capture advantages and opportunities while mitigating risks due to communication challenges, and how needs, actions, safety and schedule drivers can be best communicated and understood.
The ‘Performance Monitoring and Metrics’ panel will address the ways in which many current project performance management techniques and metrics are ineffectively focused on past performance and how project leaders can use leading indicators to be more forward looking, allowing for interventions to be made before they are needed.
