JMJ Partner Alan Palmer will moderate, the annual ‘Task Force Zero Safety Conference’ taking place on Wednesday 19 April 2017.
When: 19 April 2017
Where: Esbjerg Performing Art Centre, Denmark
Moderator: Alan Palmer, JMJ Partner
The theme for this year’s annual Task Force Zero Safety Conference is ‘Safety: A Personal and Collective Commitment’. During the course of the conference, leaders in the oil and gas industry and other leaders and experts will share compelling stories. We will inquire into the areas of personal responsibility and leadership and create openings for action that we can take, personally and collectively, to make a positive and lasting difference in the oil and gas industry in Denmark.
Industry experts and data have shown that Denmark is in the bottom quartile in terms of safety performance in an international oil and gas perspective. To move the industry and to close that gap between perception and reality, we all must do our part and we cannot do it alone. What are we collectively doing about this? What about your leadership and your overall approach?
Establishing high reliability safety leadership in organisations is about who you are and what you are for people around you, and how you guide and inspire your people to think and choose to be safe.
The conference will look at what the industry can learn from others who have been faced with challenges. Discussing what should be expected from leaders in the industry as well as investigate different tools, means and convictions necessary to continue evolving reliable and consistent safety leadership.
Mr. Palmer will be joined by speakers with a long history of bringing safety leadership to their teams and organisations. Speakers include:
Edgar H Schein, Professor Emeritus, MIT Sloan School of Management; Ben Saunders, Polar Explorer; Dick Benschop, VP Non-Operated Ventures, Shell International; Nick Bojer Jørgensen, Senior Manager, DONG Thermal Power; Margot Brabrand, Director, Safety & Environment, Metroselskabet & Hovedstadens Letbane; Robert Frimpong, Managing Director, Wintershall Noordzee B.V.; Patrick Gilly, Managing Director (Danish Business Unit), Maersk Oil, Dr John Green, Director HSEQ, Laing O'Rourke; Lamberto Nonno, Senior Manager, Health, Safety and Environment, Baker Hughes; Anders Nymann, Hess Denmark ApS; Martin Naesby, Managing Director, Oil Gas Denmark; Taf Powell, Consultant in corporate strategic integrity, Corporate Integrity Partnership.
