The Vice President of Denmark for Shell Upstream International, Ben Ring recently spoke at the Annual Offshore Safety Conference 2014 in Denmark. In this video, he shares about their safety leadership journey, his personal reflections and the lessons he learned as a Project Manager on the Shell Pearl GTL Mega Project. He describes where they were (reality), where they wanted to be (vision) and how they transitioned from one to the other without knowing how they were going to get there.

The Shell Pearl GTL is a world-scale mega project located in Ras Laffan Industrial City, in Qatar. The Shell Pearl GTL Project reached 77 million worker hours without an injury to time off work in 2010 – a record for both Shell and Qatar. At peak 52,000 people were working on the project.
